SERVICES

Description of Services:

LICENSED: We are licensed by the Department of Health & Hospitals to provide PCA/Personal Care Attendant, SIL/Supervised Independent Living & RESPITE services. We are also in compliance to provide Medicaid waiver services. In addition we are a Licensed Medicaid application centers both locations.

CONTRACT/PRIVATE PAY SERVICES: Contact a representative for a description of services offered.

EPSDT/PCS: This program provides personal care services to children from birth to age 21 who are Medicaid recipients. A physician must prescribe these services. These services are medically necessary tasks because of physical limitations due to illness or injury necessitate assistance with eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and bladder or bowel conditions.

LT/PCS: This program provides personal care services to Medicaid recipients who are either

• 65 years of age or older, OR
• 21 years of age or older with disabilities. Disabled is defined as meeting the eligibility criteria established by the Social Security Administration.
• Meet the requirements for nursing facility level of care, AND
• Be prior authorized

NOW (formerly MRDD/WAIVER): Individuals who require the level of care of an institution for people with developmental disabilities but choose to live in the community. The developmental disability must have manifested prior to age of 22.

CHILDREN’S CHOICE WAIVER: Children ages birth through 18 years with developmental disabilities who currently live at home or will leave an institution to return home and whose names are on the BCSS NOW (formerly MR/DD) Request for Services Registry.

ELDERLY AND DISABLED ADULT WAIVER: Individuals with Developmental Disabilities can apply if they are older than 22 years, are disabled according the Medicaid Standards, meet the admission requirements for a nursing facility, and can be served safely in the community.
